I'd been watching this on the bay for some time and decided to have it. One or two minor dents and some paint chipping but I think this has been fairly reflected in the price.

Not sure how bad the " minor denting " is but if the paint is that bad, it will just mean it's a candidate for the paint booth. I think these things come apart quite easily so I'm prepared to give it a bash.

    Photos when it arrives.

    Cheers

    and the pictures.

the paint is not so good so will be stripped and re-done.

The rear hand rail is actually hanging off but should not be so hard to repair that.

Clean the rear buffer beam with a glass fibre brush, and you should be able solder the hand rail back on, and touch up the paint work by hand.

Then plan it in for a full strip and repaint when you're ready.

Hi Toto, are you sure its a Bachmann model? 'cos it looks all the world like a Tower models 02 white metal kit built loco to me, nowt wrong with that, they make into a really nice model.

Toto.....you could even go nuts with weathering the loco, which would hide a multitude of sins.

Then repaint at a later stage if you have the desire and time to do it.

Would that have appeared in the early 60's. It sounds like a good theme.
