Its my pleasure to announce that I have just had an array of Darstaed goodies delivered courtesy of Ellis Clark Trains for awarding as competition prizes. There will be competitions to be announced in the very near future through our usual outlets, newsletter, forum pages and our Facebook pages. Just to give you a flavour of what will be up for grabs ........ all in O Gauge ( don't worry as there will be further prizes announced in other gauges soon ) here is a list. A twin bogies " Regent " oil tanker. A LSWR twin bogie well lowmac wagon A CR twin bogie well lowmac wagon A BSK BR MK1 coach in BR blue and Grey livery All I will say is ...... These RTR products are all absolutely excellent quality and I suspect very good sellers. I will upload some photographs of the above over the next few days. A huge thanks goes out to Ellis Clark and his team for the very generous stash of goodies. To all our members, keep your eyes open for the announcement of the associated competitions if you want to be in with a chance of winning one of the above. Cheers for now Toto
Winning might be the easy part! For me, wondering what to do with an O Gauge item is the dilemma! Could get expensive! I might have to buy a new Display cabinet! Very interested in what the alternative gauge prize might be!
Careful of posts from SMR Chris - he just keeps scratching that O gauge itch until you just know you're going to bite no prizes for guessing how I know Paul
and here they are ......... well ....... i'd certainly like them ....... but I cant ave em ....... bugger .......
Toto, make it a voting competition then absolve yourself of the count (delegate), then you can enter!
Hi Timbersurf ........ some OO gauge prizes just posted. ...... something for everyone well, nearly .... n gauge and narrow gauge will come in time ....... cheers toto PS ..... still can't enter ...... its the rules ..... my own as well ...... the injustice of it all.
The Mk I coach looks great. Saw an advert with one in the yellow and black chevrons. Very unusual but fantastic- engineers train.
Its been requested that I do a review on the above products since I am currently in possession of them. ( call me their temporary guardian ) . So ....... I'll look to do exactly that probably starting tomorrow at some point. Now a model expert or a magazine columnist I ain't but I'll do my best to give a fair and open view on them. However, as a starter, I can already say that at first initial glance ...... they are impressive. More on them later. Cheers Toto
