G`day Folks, Does anybody have for sale any of the old / early Triang grey track. The snap together type.??? I am wanting to make an oval of track for our Christmas tree set up. I had previously set it up with modern HO track on a donut of hardboard but it was too flimsy and got damaged. So I thought some of the old Triang stuff may be a better option where it can be taken apart each year and stored more easily with out damage occurring. http://www.clickGormo

Don't think your link is quite right Sol. Maybe try it again and if it works, delete the original as its throwing the page out.
Thanks for the links and the info Ron... I have just come back from the local hobby shop and they`ve promised to ask one of their regulars if he has any spare track. Apparently he collects the stuff and has masses of it. They have my contact details, however if that falls through I will chase up your suggestions. http://www.clickGormo
Hi gormo I am certain that in I have what you are after, not the small radius version (which must be preserved as that is the original set I was given referred to in my layout posting) but subsequent large radius version. You are welcome to them. I will get out the suitcase in the morning as right now a very fine McLaren Vale red has preference. Cheers Richard
I used to have many, many pieces of that track Gormo, but I ended up selling it all off on the bay to fund my newer projects... Cheers, Gary.
Thanks Gary, Not to worry mate.....sounds like Richard might come to the rescue. http://www.clickGormo
Hi Gormo Went through the archives and I have what you need. One half in the old grey stuff and one in the slightly newer but just as rigid black stuff together with some straights. I know that the black stuff is just as strong as the grey stuff as early on in my years it used to be set up on the carpet floor when I could get the chance. I will put it aside until I hear from you. Also have you had a look at my layout posting, Dargan? Cheers Richard
Thanks Richard, I`ll send you another PM. Yes I`ve had a look at your layout .......like the E Type as well.....a nice little run around car. Let me know if you need a hand with the tiny signs. http://www.clickGormo
G`day Folks, Well Richard came to visit today and to drop off the track for the Christmas train. We had a good old natter and of course finished up out in the shed talking trains and cars....as you do .?? Anyway I got the track together and bingo it works fine. Thanks again Richard The Christmas Train Rides Again http://www.clickGormo
Fantastic Gormo, good to see the old girl running ! Very nice of Richard to donate to your Christmas call. Cheers, Gary.
It was well worth it just to see Gormo's layout. It is a credit to his modelling and creative ability let alone engineering talents. His rod activated turnouts are unbelievable. Keep up the good work Gormo. Happy modelling Richard
Thanks Ron , Gary and Richard, The mechanical system on the points is quite often forgotten now that it`s done and working. It`s nice to be able to show somebody new the workings and remember what went into it. http://www.clickGormo
