Evening all, and thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I am indeed Doug Mobley, another of Andy's recruits. Originally of Nottingham but now living in Stoke. Primarily a 00-gauge steam-to-early-diesel-era modeller, no layout of my own currently, but there are four baseboards in the garage I ought to put some track on at some point (I'll set up a thread for this shortly). Member of Stafford Railway Circle, and quite often away exhibiting at shows in the Midlands (and occasionally further afield) with club and members' layouts. Also an electronics geek (also a member of MERG, so there will be the occasional little circuit board appear in my work). And when the weather is nice enough, an explorer of full-size forgotten railway remnants.

Oh I don’t know, I think it just helps break the water a bit... we know what excellent things to expect in the future.

Ah.. I see... yep, I’ve known Doug since we started working together at the Churnet Valley Railway, he’s even assisted me at an exhibition many moons ago.
