Hi my name is Allan and I live in Napier, New Zealand. I become a model railroader about 5 years ago (and bought up large on the internet) after collecting LEGO for 25 years and wanted a change in hobby. I model HO Santa Fe in the late 1950's. I live in an apartment so only have a 4' x 1' Inglenook layout but want to build 2 hollow core door switching layouts based around a Swift meat packing plant and a John Deere tractor factory. I have joined a Napier model railroad club so that I can run my locos and rolling stock. I enjoy doing the research for my future layouts and have finished the layout plans for them.
Ahhh, well get the plans up then. delighted that you have found your way back to us. A meat packing plant and a tractor factory. Sounds great. Plenty potential for some good modelling scenes. Feel free to start your own layout thread and give us an insight into your plans and the build as it unfolds. I'm sure there will be loads of interest in your thread. Cheers for now Toto
