This begs the question "Are you intending building one of these, Rob???" Hope this loco will still be at Shildon when I get up there next month. Was that also the surviving Class 71 Electric loco in the background in one of the shots? Last I heard about that was it was in poor outward condition and down for a repaint at Barrow Hill, not far from me. Keith.
Hi Keith, Certainly not for myself but there may be one in the pipeline as a commission. Yes, to the electric loco (I will take your word as to what it actually is). I agree it is in poor condition but I was talking to one of the volunteers and apparently it's next in the workshop at Shildon for a tarting up. The nearest I will get to it is an NER ES1 that I have in my stash.
