So I bought this kit from Chris in Perth (Kentish Lad) about two years ago, and although I did do a little bit of work on it in February March last year, I've  not touched it since then. With 480 something parts it's going to be a slow build. The Hurricane I built took about a year. So at this rate I need to lift my game!

Some more progress photos of the build.
The engine is now built and painted with it's basecoat.
The next step will be the weathering and detailing of the engine block and it's many pipes. I'm sure there were close to 100 parts in this first stage.
The pilot will be given an airbrushing and I will attempt to get him to look reasonably realistic.
The big advantage of 1/24 is it nice and big so detailing is easier than the 1/72 or OO.

In terms of the building of the kit I now move onto the wings, gun bays, cannons etc.

Some more photos from the build. The cockpit section is completed and the Pilot is painted. There's a little more weathering to go on the engine but otherwise I'm pretty much done.I've moved onto the wing sections now and will fit the guns and ammo boxes into the gunbays which were painted with their Leather colour. The Typhhon had leather lined gunbays to reduce vibrations from the massive Hispano Cannons.
