Had a great day super busy saw so many people and chatted with just about everyone saw a few Platform1 members but was so busy that we didn't get to have a really good catch up
Got a few shiny items could have been a lot more but forgot to go back to one stand and get a specific item.
I will get "spots" to pick up

Link to the photos of a lot of the layouts

Yes some top notch modelling not much Train action on the Large scale layout just a single track but a scene full of life.
All in about 4ft

Shinys part 1, 3 reference books quite a few $$$ in these but well worth it. Esp the Forgotten Sidings book at 336 pages it's full of interesting photos plans and info.

Last major shiny was a GME 1/32 scale kit for a NSWGR water Gin No5 this is a Laser cut timber basics of the kit and a vacuum formed water tank.
I have already started on the build of this, at the show it was found it was short a few bits but the producer of the kit is going to post the bits out ASAP just Bogie frame overlays and the pipe work.

yes it is big

A few good pics there Chris. I didn't take any pics as it was a chance to have a catch up with fellow modellers and retailers. The boys got tired pretty quickly so it wasn't a very long stay at all. Arrived at 11.45 and gone by 2.30...

I did buy a few kits from Stuart and Mardi though, one x 20 Ton Weighbridge & Hut and 2 x Sawtooth Warehouse (low relief) kits, at a discounted price ! From a chap out the back I purchased two 2nd hand Pennsylvania Railroad lourvre vans (box cars) at $5.00 each...

Stuart & Mardi have great kits for the Aussie modeller, see here : https://modeltrainbuildings.com.au/

Cheers, Gary.

Chris,

Nice photos. I like the large scale layout (what gauge is it)

Cant make it this year as the family is recovering from the dreaded lurgy

Hello Cameron,
I think the large scale layout is G scale. The builder (can't remember his name?) cleverly uses the same frame each year and builds a new Narrow Gauge G Scale small layout. This fellow is a great modeller, and I applaud his efforts to present a fresh layout each AMRA Exhibition. I won't be making the trip this year to Liverpool. From an NG perspective I have found less and less of interest in recent years. From Chris's photos the quality of modelling on some layouts is very good. Cheers Geoff

Hi all thanks for the POTW http://www.click
The small layout is G scale packed with micro cameo scenes
It's only a straight bit of track but it's the detail around it that gets you in.

As Geof noted this Modeller presents a new scene each year.
