They are very nice kits. Not as a first project but with a bit soldering experience I think it would be a great kit to watch come together. Loads of fine detail but if done right, could stand up to a bit of handling.

So which 24 had you in mind to model?
I have a side view photo somewhere of D5054 I took from the ballast shoulder... I think the loco was still in green it was when I'd just started on the railway in the early 70's. The driver was Stoke man Arthur Pepper and we had stopped just outside of Endon because of animals on the line, the consist was loaded sand from Oakamoor and I think we had about 40 wagons on for Pickingtons and Atlas Glass. Not bad going for a single 1160 hp machine and only a partially fitted train too. Great days they were and sadly all traffic now gone although I believe 5054 lives on in preservation.
Cheers Paul

Second one of these arrived today. Saved £50.00 on the MRP. No more for now though.

With what I now have between these kits and my RTR class 25 and 35, I now have a nice fleet of mid sized diesels. If anything a class 47 would be nice but that means either a JLTRT, or a DJH or a PRMRP kit. The only one to offer an early version is the DJH version and that's ouch.

Maybe for later.
