This competition is open to everyone including the mods.

Quite easy really and an ideal competition to get some of those who are maybe new to building layouts to have a go.

The rules.

Your track plan by its " plank " nature will be an end to end. It can be in any scale and there are no size limitations.

It can have any theme you want in any era. It should be accompanied by some kind of explanation as to its proposed use and theory of how it would be run.

Now ......... It MUST be done on " Anyrail " software. No excuse as anybody can download the demo software for free from their site. No other format is allowed.

You can start immediately if you want and the closing date is the last Saturday in March 2018.

As usual, you must clearly state on your entry submission that it is your official admission. Please post your entry against this thread.

Ther will be one winner only and there is a Duratool 48watt so,design station with adjustable temperature setting up for grabs.

Good luck to all who enter.

Toto

Just for clarity , this is for a track plan only not a build.

I've got an excuse...
They don't make Anyrail for mac, and I don't bother with Parallels or anything like that these days which would run Windows, So that's me out:(

Cheers
Tony

Sorry guys I thought that most if not all would be able to gain access to it. It was only as a way of having everyone working of the same platform.

I'll open it up and say any rail software that you can gain access to. I really don't want to exclude anyone. Can you gain access to an equivalent on your chosen operating system ?

Cheers Toto.

G'day Toto,

Where do you want us to post our entries? In this thread?

And what format do you want them in? I ask because these days I only have an iPad, and I haven't come across any trackplanning software that will work on the thing. I have a number of layout designs that would be suitable to enter, but they were all drawn the old-fashioned way - pen on paper! :)

Cheers,

Mark.

Entries can be posted in this thread. In order to include as many as possible I will take hand drawn entries as well. As long as they are clear enough to read.

That should let everyone that wants to get involved. At the end of the day it will be judged on the actual plan itself and the effort that has went into the end result so hand drawn plans can be embellished with features as easily as software produced plans.

Good luck everyone.

Toto

No worries Mark.

Once you have played around with the idea, it's one entry per member.

If you want, you could start a thread of your own with multiple track plans and then when you have decided which one you like best ...... Pist your best on this thread.

Cheers

Toto
