While I wait for various parts to arrive for my O gauge projects I thought id start to knock together one of the driving cars I have for tube stock in OO. They are old Pirate models kits. I remember as a kid seeing these in the W&H catalogue and always wanted some but pocket money never sufficed. Ive managed to accrue a 1959/62 driving motor car and a 3 car 1938 stock kit. I just missed out on a 1938 trailer car to make a 4 car set but they sometimes ran as 3's so its not an issue. For their...

As the title says I got another two kits for the stash, this time a Scorpio 9F with BR1C tender and a Gladiator 8F with Stanier 4000 gallon rivetted tender. I'll do a swap between tenders with the Rebuilt Patriot and 8F which will then allow me to complete the Patriot build to the spec I want, basically I'll swap the high platform on the welded tender over onto the rivetted tender as the 8F has a low platform and the Patriot a high one due to the differing cab footplate levels.
