Starting today when Tornado came visiting for a couple of weeks and came up the branch light engine while running driver experience and cab rides. I say cab rides plural but despite there being 4 trips each way advertised it only came out and back the once.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[For those of an industrial bent, Chris and I supported the Embsay &amp; Bolton Abbey Railways&#039; Hunslet event over the weekend it was a 3 day event starting on Friday and finishing Sunday evening. We decided to make a long weekend of it so we went down on Thursday afternoon to get set up.<br />

About a year ago I bought the Dapol OO scale plastic kit of this locomotive. The kit is supplied in grey plastic, rudimentary instructions and with no windows. I did some preliminary painting but have only now got around to assembling it.<br />

a first in heritage railways was visiting GBRF loco Class 69008 (formerly a Class 56 but re engines with the GM engine from a Class 66.) making its debut on a passenger train. <br />
<br />
note it had to be coupled to its family relative a class 47, as the 69’s (and same when 56’s) were air brake only, where as the heritage stock is the older Vacuum braked. The Class 47 acts as a kind of converter. <br />
