Having drawn my own wagon top and ends to convert the Hornby PGA to a PAA, I also had to create my own art work. I did this a number of years ago, but with the real item going in to preservation, I’ve been able to correct a few details prior to creating the transfers.<br />
<br />
So, fresh out the paint shops (but still needing some touching up) is the WBB Minerals PAA..as WBB30001 (which sadly I saw in the middle of...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have had two older Waffle sided boxcars sitting in my stash for quite some time. They are finished in the Illinois Terminal livery of all over yellow, silver roof and green signage.<br />
<br />
I knew I could use these cars but not as they are, they need a refresh. So I started by removing the trucks (bogies), the side doors and the roof.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I&#039;m getting to the point where I need to decide on paint and livery for my Connoisseur 02 kit build, Jim suggests using HMRS decals, and I&#039;m undecided wether to go for Maunsell Green/White lining or BR Black with Red/Grey lining. The problem (if it is in fact a problem) is that HMRS decals are available in &quot;Pressfix&quot; using finger pressure and water, or &quot;Methfix&quot; using a water/Methylated Spirits mix and finger pressure. I&#039;ve never used HMRS decals, my supplier of choice is Fox Transfers, but...<br />

The smokebox plate and number are raised printed lettering and have to be ordered specially so I was prepared to wait their lead tiime, in the same order I asked for some 6 inch Gill Sans White numerals which...<br />
