While the tile grout is drying out in the goods yard I have been working on a scratch build.
    Typical Scottish sandstone house..

Thanks, wasn't sure how it would look as it's low relief.
Well impressed with the Silhouette cutter.

Nothing really to show for the last week.
I joined my local model railway club and I have been roped in to help rebuild an old layout with unknown origins.....
On Overtoun junction I have been working on the fiddle yard which in hindsight should really have been the first thing I built!
Yesterday I attended The festival of railway modelling in Doncaster, Good show, lots of trade support and a good veriety of layouts on show.

And here I am thinking only the Class 37 English Electrics were the clag specials, not the Class 29 Paxman Ventura !! ;);)

    Cheers, Gary.

Another week with little to show however, the points in the fiddle yard are in and wired up. I'm just waiting for a batch of Diodes to turn up for the matrix.
I have gone with route selection for the fiddle yard using a rotary switch and momentary push button.
Just select the route number and press the button and all required points will fire.

Really busy few weeks at work, I also worked my first exhibition with the club, busy day to say the least.
I was helping run the Shunting puzzle where kids/adults could have a go at driving.
It was great to see peoples faces when the drove the little 03 shunter or Thomas for the first time.
    Made a few purchases too...

On a Scottish layout you can never have too many class 37's....

Been a bit quiet on here recently, but I have slowly been plodding away on the layout.
Class 20 shuntin the goods yard while a Glasgow bound 37 arrives at the station.

A bit more greenery added alongside the South junction.
