    Well,

upon the good news that I was back in work again, and after talking with his nibs, he asked me what I was buying to reward myself for securing my latest role. well ....... here it is .......

This although nothing to do with Scottish loco sheds and certainly not one that would have been found in the highlands due to its size is what I have had my eye on for a while and keen to get before Timber Tracks shuts up shop at the end of the year.

There was always mutterings of a further 2 board module for Luib Bridge which would contain an engine shed and a turntable ( which i already have ). It should have been a modest affair given its location but given my growing fleet ....... had to be extended somewhat.

So, once it arrives, thats a goods shed and an engine shed I need to cobble together.

    back on track ........

    cheers

As long as it fits in Toto's defined standard 20" wide baseboards, as we know how much of a stickler he is at sticking to standards :avatar:

Nice looking model - and I'm not taking any blame for this one :whatever:

Just had an email from timber tracks ...... their stock availability is out of date. The item is not currently available so I have just responded canceling the order as its likely to be a bit longer before its actually made. i'd rather part with my cash when its ready. i will more than likely order it again later once it is actually available. its way too expensive to be sitting out that kind of cash in advance ...... no way hose. Too much of that crap going on in this hobby.

Just had a very courteous email from Brian at timber tracks informing me of the availability / time frame for this kit. Looks like I better look out the wood glue.

    happy customer.

First part delivery of my engine shed arrived yesterday. Never got the chance to post it up. This only includes for the base, maintenance pits and the like and already looks a pretty comprehensive piece of kit.

I'll do some photos over the weekend.

    Cheers

And ....... some pictures. Again, this is just part of the kit which covers the floor sections. the rest of the kit is to follow.

The very comprehensive and illustrated destructions .........

the main floor section comes in two pieces and is over 1 meter long......

various floor section overlays and sections to form the pit areas etc. Also some temporary stiffiners to aid in building things square and holding whilst the glue dries.

more pit steps and spacer pieces etc.

the footprint for the office floor.

and that concludes parts delivery one. I'll post up the remainder when it arrives.

    cheers

OK ...... here comes the photo fest of parts that came with delivery number two. Feel free to fall asleep .........

Just as a taster ...... this is the package it came in. Two packages actually.

and we start by looking at a multitude of seperately packaged build parts ...... the roof vents .....

    and more vent parts .....

and did I say there was more ...... well ..... there is ......

    glazing and infill strips ......

Miscellaneous parts for the side office build .....

    Roof trusses .......

    Internal office walls etc .....

cast brass exterior light fittings .......

    pillars and ridge parts .......

    external shed walls ......

    Skylight parts ......

    Internal wall supports .....

    Roof truss ring beam .......

and a close up telling you just that ......

    Internal supports ......

Office block external walls etc ......

Roof sarkings and ridge valley strips etc ......

and that is yer lot ..........

the photos don't even start to show the real extent of the parts list. there are literally hundreds of separate parts in various layers. estimated build time ...... I reckon a week.

    cheers
