I started the Bargains thread as a 'heads up' for sharing 'good buys' when they become available. You can consider this one, the "Anti-Bargains" thread and share the horrors found on Ebay during your searches.
Things like the decimal point missing so the price is 100 times greater than meant  or a place holder of £6,000.00 for a sheet of A4 paper! or a TTE Murdock for £795, etc

I will start off with a few to show the context of the type of glaring eye brow raisers that you can share , just for fun in this thread.

My moan is Paypal!! You sell something on Ebay and Paypal 'hold' your money (called Pending) for 2 to 3 WEEKS!! Imagine the interest they are getting from thousands of "pending' accounts!!!

That’s why I only buy on eBay.

    Still not very fair.

I know this stuff is good and I have some in my shed but it's definitely not worth what they're asking as it is still available though now made by Pledge and is labled as Klear.

You may have noticed that the guy's Ebay name is "Dicky Turpin", hence "Highway Robbery". Nuff said!

I used to have an eBay shop back in the day. I use it now mainly for clearing old items and advertising. Dammed expensive though especially if they pay by Pay Pal.

I hardly buy from ebay unless it is the only place to obtain a certain product. What I find quite good is some of the Facebook selling sites. If you are selling an item, you state the price and the buyer will buy it. There is a transaction between the two parties and unlike paypal, no pending accounts. Paypal always make a few extra dollars from you because they charge at a different conversion rate than what is the current market value, and then add on a 2.5% conversion fee...

    Cheers, Gary.

Another nasty bit from a sellers perspective is that eBay charges commision on Postage fees. That's just proffitering - it's not like they have to que up at the post office behind pensioners and screaming kids in pushchairs.

Could come in handy for scraping 3d printed items off the build base.

Sadly that was in response to those buyers trying to avoid selling fees by pricing them really low so attracting minimal seller fees but charging a fortune for P&P.

Another example of the greedy few spoiling things for the many....
