Andrew Barclay 0-4-0 shunter in O scale.

Toto, I am going to try and weather it as a Staveley works loco, a bit grubby but looking like it is loved by its crew's, so a fairly light weathering.

Gormo, the Johnson's Klear floor polish set's like PVA, it is also glossy so needs dulling down if used as a varnish, unfortunately it's no longer made, mine came from me dad's when we cleared his house after he passed away, I believe there is an alternative that's just as good but I'm blowed if I can remember what it is called, still sold as a floor polish, it's also good for ballasting etc, I will see if I can find it's name.

Thank's Ron and Chris, it's been a journey, I some time's despaired I would finish it, there are still one or two thing's left to do, I've just ordered some etched works plates from Narrow Planet, they take a few weeks to do so in the meantime I shall crack on with some other job's.

I just googled alternatives to Klear and found this, its called Lakeland Quick Shine, it has had some rave revues on different modelling sites, bit costly at £12.99 but a little go's a long way, hope this is of help Gormo, you can probably find something similar in Oz, I think Klear kept its name but was made by Pledge after Johnsons stopped making it.

Thanks Gloria, it was a really nice little loco to build though it did take quite a while to finish. I started the build ages ago and only really picked up again after joining this forum. The members here were very supportive and that gave me the impetus to carry on, after while it seemed to gain a life of its own and became something I just had to complete.
I'm really chuffed with how it turned out, but to be fair, there are one or two little jobs to do before I will be completely happy with it .
