As the title say I got a bit distracted and made an impulse purchase, even so its a straight forward simple build and with care should go together well, products from the Scorpio range designed by Dave Ennis always are. So here we have it a nice little 0-6-0 tank engine from the Victorian period, I probably won't keep this one and shall sell it on to fund other kits I do want. Here are the castings wheels and down in the bottom right corner are the new lost wax motion brackets for the Ivatt tank currently being built... so now I can set to and build up the bottom half, something which I'm looking forward to doing.

Yes its a complete change of direction for me but this one should be fun, a straight six couple tank engine from the Scorpio stable designed by Dave Ennis so there won't be any issues in the putting together stage.

Very nice ...... apart from it being GWR ........ acccccccht .... spit. :avatar: only joking. I don't mind which stable they come from. When built, they are all works of art and look great on any layout.

    Great stuff.

Thinking behind this is the GW era is very popular and this loco can be made to look the part for anyone who wants a small pannier tank for their line, this will be for sale and the proceeds will go towards funding LMS stuff that I want... I'm even tempted to do another if all goes well, we shall see.

People have been tarred and feathered for much less, next you'll be drinking Scrumpy - actually enough of that and the Green loco's may look ok :avatar:

This one is going to be finished in black with cycling lion emblem and the filthiest of weathering possible... I want it to look a real eye catcher so someone will take pity and buy if only to repaint it into a spanking shiny green with polished brasswork.
I'll even make the box for it to go in so it doesn't get damaged... that is just how much I care for these engines:avatar:

Well I can honestly say that I have never had the pleasure of meeting him, I'm sure with his capital he could build a whole fleet of brand new Pannier tanks to run on the North Stafford system. :avatar: Funny really as I'm fairly certain the NSR never ran anywhere south of Birmingham Snow Hill station.:giggle:
