    G`day Folks,
This episode takes us on an adventure into finishing brickwork on model buildings.
There are various methods around for brickwork and this is yet another, with ideas borrowed from here and there and some of my own touches as well.
I think brickwork can be rather daunting if you`ve never done it before, however this method will yield good results and give you the confidence to move onto bigger and better things.
Best results will be obtained by you, if you put in some time practicing your technique on any remnants or unwanted brick panels from old kits that you may have in your spares box.
Enjoy the video and stay safe.

Excellent results there Gormo. Very convincing. Another good thing is how little materials are actually required which keeps it a very inexpensive method.

    Thanks for posting up.

    Cheers

    No worries Toto,
Yes I`m trying to do projects for Gormo`s Shed at the moment that can be accomplished with items that you may already have around the home. I`m trying to not have anybody leave their home to buy materials.
One of my subscribers informed me that he has not seen No More Gaps in his neck of the neighborhood, but caulking or joint sealer would do the same thing.
It`s all about adapting to the task with the materials that you do have available.

Absolutely right. Use what you have. Keep any trips for essentials.

There are a good many of your past projects that could easily apply and give folks something to focus on during lockdown.

    Good stuff

Nice one Gormo :tophat::tophat:. I recall seeing a youtube video many moons ago where a modeller used talcum powder in a similar manner to get a similar result on O scale dressed stone plasticard then drizzled wood dye into it, the finish was really life like.

    Cheers, Pete.

    G`day Pete,
It`s amazing how many different methods there are. I think people just start getting creative and pretty much will try anything to see if it works.
    And sometimes it does...
A guy gave me a tip the other day in regard to weathering a model tank ( as in army ) where he thins his oil paints with lighter fluid. I have not tried it ,but you would not want to be a smoker whilst using this method.......just wait for that Earth shattering....Kaaboom !!!!!!!...:avatar:
