Gloria I love the quayside area of your garden railway and the crane looks brill:thumbs: but there again I’m a big kid at heart.

We are all fine Gloria thanks for asking. eBay at times can be a pain especially when someone bids with 8 seconds to go:facepalm:. Stay safe.

Thank you Mark. The lamps are grain of wheat bulbs and car light bulbs cut in half and glued in to make them look like actual bulbs which gives the desired effect, there are more to be made for the other platform and one more to finish the island plaform. Just need more used car bulbs now. There is 2 other platforms besides the main ones one is beside the greenhouse which you cant see that one is called Pasty Halt the other one is near the signal box called Cross Common halt. The main station is called The Lizard. Our actual railway is called the Pasty and Serpentine Light Railway which is posted on YouTube being built its under the name of Stephanie Aldridge.
    Regards,
    Gloria

Hi Mark, thank you hope you enjoy it. We have a video on Youtube as well of Exeter Garden Railway Show with our portable track. There is a guy called Ghost On The Line who has produced a video as well of the same show last year 2019. We take our portable railway to lots of shows. When this epidemic is over we will be having an open day here at our home in Cornwall at some point.
You and your family keep well.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

I have promised my wife a proper holiday next year when we can get out and about. I quite fancy coming down to Cornwall as we haven't been there as a couple before, I came down about 25 years ago with my first wife, so I'm guessing there have been lots of changes since then. Anyway, if it happens, we will try and include a visit to your railway if thats ok?
    Take care.

    Cheers, Pete.

ps, if you know of any decent touring caravan sites could you give me a heads up? Thanks.

Thanks Gloria, my mouth is already watering at the thought of those pasties :avatar:.
I mentioned it to my wife and she suggested making it a 2 week holiday and try and fit in a steam rally too. I will have to check my rally diaries and see what is on and where.
We are both fine thank you for asking, Karen is bored to tears, and I'm getting so fed up I'm seriously thinking of doing some gardening:avatar:

Take care the both of you.

    Cheers, Pete.

    Morning Pete,
I forgot to ask you have you got your own caravan? If so the place i mentioned seem to have a nice caravan site. We attend rallies down here with our portable railway which you would be very welcome to join in. I will try and get the information for you and dates of rallies for next year. If it goes ahead our first rally will be at Grade Ruan which is near Ruan Minor in August this year I am taking my ride on railway which is 7.25 a battery operated loco plus track and 2 riding trucks and a 4 seater carriage the track is portable so can take it anywhere. Hopefully see you in November at Peterborough Show.
You both take care as well Pete,
    Regards.
    Gloria.

Hi Gloria, sorry I've not got back to you sooner!
Yes we have a tourer, we are very frustrated at not being able to get out and about with it this year. Still all being well we will be out with it next year.

    Pete.

Hi Pete, Thats ok about getting back to me. I expect you have been busy catching up with things. I havent been on the site myself much as we are busy on our railway, running repairs and rebuilds. Thats lovely Pete having your own tourer i used to have one myself. If Mullion isnt too far for you there is a lovely caravan site its roughly 6 miles from where we live. Anyway Pete please both of you keep safe speak soon.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

    Hi Kev,
Thank you ever so much for your very kind comment. After this epidemic is over we will open it up to receive visitors. There is also a new line being built to add a bit more interest, once built that should be good.
    Regards,
    Gloria.

Hi all, A further update to our railway part of the track is now laid on the new fondations. The next step is building the Serpentine Mine. It was going to be the quarry line but changed it to its new name. We are planning the next stage of how to build the mine once done more track will be laid. Also to mention that there is a new group formed on Facebook.
Regards to to you all please keep safe,
    Gloria.

Thanks Gloria, I have had a look at their web site and will get in touch with them for next year.
Sorry for the late reply, we have been busy in the garden getting it cleared ready for the landscapers and for my new (to me) shed foundations to be built.

    Best wishes, Pete.
