Hi this is a micro diorama I started while I have been on lockdown.
The diorama is based around the coal theme which is my favourite for modelling. A busy locomotive refuelling and maintenance yard.
I will be adding my Andrew Barclay NCB loco once I have completed adding some grass tufts, coal and an oil lamp.

As you can see I have added some loco irons, an oil drum, a bucket, dustbin and some gorse bushes around the wall and buffer stop area.

Lovely neat work Mark, I like the little hut and the bushes.

Incidentally I posted up the third part of the simple wagon build last week but have still to record doing the buffers if you missed that thread. Just been a tad busy this last few days on things 4F :avatar:

Hi Yorkie thank you for the comments, I’m really pleased with this little diorama. Just to add now is some tufts of grass and a loco.
As for your wagon build tutorial. I will be looking through it this afternoon and I will refer back to the build thread as I start my own wagon build.

That looks a nice casting Mark. Can they be modified to add a light bulb / LED ?

Kim I’m sure they could be modified in some way.

You know what Mark these micro scenes are full of character and charm, your skills and approach are very special and you deliver a result in a very different and individual way, not everyone can lay claim to this. Lovely workmanship. :tophat::tophat::tophat:

Thank you Yorkie that’s means a lot to me. I know I’m not into building big layouts but I have admiration for railway modellers who have them and the space.

I don't do big layouts either because its the making process which I enjoy, ok yes so my dioramas are "biggish" by design in O Gauge but the secret is to create a scene which can look like a sort of three dimensional photograph. Anyway not a lot of people know that little secret so probably best not to tell everyone. :avatar:

I know I’m going off the subject slightly but I have a passion for building wagons, firstly in 4mm then moving on to 0 gauge wagon kits.

Everybody to their own. You do what you do well. The smaller scenes are every bit as much inspiring. It's the skill that goes into it that shines through.

That is a great little diorama Mark :tophat::tophat: it just needs a little bit and just a little bit, of weathering powders on the loco to finish.

    Cheers, Pete.
