Having seen Paul making yards with his kit bash, I thought I'd better tackle my entry this weekend, especially now I'm back to work !

So, not a lot has happened since the last update, although I had made a few down pipes from Evergreen styrene and added these. I also fitted the fiddly windows. These are a PITA to cut the individual panes out. Now I know why Paul had printed his own ! I added a concrete floor to the interior and a ramp from the main building down to the lower dock, which is the rear of the covered loading/unloading area of the building. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos as I was on a roll !

Today was all about adding the covered loading area to the main structure, laying track, ballasting, adding the roofs and a little bit of scenery, well gravel, grass and weeds !

Here is where I'm up to currently, although I still have the extra details to add...

Next two pics show the interior through the doors on the rear of the building...

I took all the above photos before I realised I didn't add the awning over the platform. A quick dab of glue and hey presto, awning added !

Well, that's it for today. I will do a little throughout the week and hopefully have it complete by the closing date !

Added a few details last night and this afternoon...

From the TX54 Metal Plates and timbers, I used the plywood planks as scrap packaging boards. Also from TX54, I used a strip of rusty metal and rolled these around some 7mm diameter Evergreen styrene tube to represent 44 gallon drums. These were let dry before I added a base and trimmed that up to size. A few strips of corrugated iron from TX29 were cut to 'roofing' size and distressed. All these items were added to the rear of the building.

The ducting that comes with TO24a was used to give the side wall some relief. This ducting needs some weathering, that will happen tomorrow afternoon.

Some extra greenery was added as shown above and here below. Two signs that come with the kit were used, 'Deliveries' and 'No Parking' were fixed to the building as well.

Well it's Friday evening, the night before the competition closes and I have to say that I think I'm done...

No more additions to the model, no vehicles, no people, just 98.5% Scalescenes. The other 1.5% belongs to the styrene down pipes, a barrel and the stacked sacks inside the building...

The flashing has been added to the awning and lean to roofs, so to two barge boards above the rail entrance lean to. I have completed the weathering and I'm not going to do any more. I',m afraid folks, what you see is what you get...!

So, a couple of pics...

I will say this ain't my best build as I know there are a few errors in the build and the final outcome may show these up.

I had a go at building a crate from Scalescenes papers. The crate measures a scale 3' x 4' x 2'. I used the timber sheet from TX54 (Metal Plates and Timber) and wrapped it around some 1.5mm thick card for the crate bracing and also two rectangles of foam core for the main box. I think I need new glasses as this is a little crooked. Lets just say that BR dropped the crate in transit...

As for the sacks, they are safely tucked away inside...
