28BYJ-48 Stepper Motor Project ?

    Interesting.. I can see some potential behind this on the project I’m working on. May need a bigger board though. I think I need three steppers.

    I have ground locks like the real think that lift to stop the gates swinging beyond the 90.. but two in one orientation and two on the other..

    I may need to start again with it all.. and like you, have a set base. Now I have my own printer I can reprint the gate posts with more depth. (All to do with height to clear track etc)

    Andy, how about linking the diagoanaly opposite gates with GT2 belts so only two steppers would be required.

    In the prototype would all gates move at the same time to open and close or would they move in pairs?

    One gate lead and the other three followed shortly after from what I’ve seen/been told.

    Shame they're not in pairs as you could have driven two motors from each output.
