D4D7BF5E-E5CB-461C-84B1-DA2224C5CABE.jpeg A much needed upgrade on Creechly, the Peco buffer stop has been swapped out for a Ragstone Midland Railway type. Lovely kits and show just how good white metal castings can be. The goods shed has been glued in place and I can now bed it in.

DF127392-248C-48D9-8BBB-BA19213F41DE.png Rob and I got the rails laid on Box yesterday, it’s so much easier to lay sleepers and ballast before the rails are laid! A fairly light weathering has been applied using masking tape a blast of Howes weathered black down the centre, once dry masking tape then laid down the centre of the track and Howes sleeper grime sprayed from a low angle, the tape is then removed and a brush soaked in thinners gently dabbed along the edges just to break up any harsh paint lines. 997B90AD-6C81-4910-A5E9-523EB87D9701.jpeg 0864B39B-7CA7-48E4-AC4B-C1B35185FCF5.jpeg
A little more planning on Marches road, this time taking inspiration from Pontypool Road shed EE64858B-88D2-4A0B-81A1-345EBE0C9435.jpeg 6D8C09E7-5BF9-406F-9F0F-D30DE6D2E51F.jpeg
Work continues at St Stephen’s bank with the last of the track being drawn up through Haskins hill and tunnel.

I’ve also added in the pit sides to three pits using Kirtley models printed rendered concrete as I did on Canton MK1 but this time I’m using Intentio Model Railways laser cut pits, they still needs blending in yet along the top with a bit of dirt.

Great looking pine tree in post #587, stunning looking locomotives above, but the way you finish the brick work on that signal box is absolutely beautiful !:thumbs::thumbs:

    Cheers, Gary.

I think that’s down to regional rivalries, it’ll get a liberal coating of dirt and hopefully I’ve got some nice 3D printed bits coming for it as well. We have to assume that there’s a much larger mechanical coal hoist around the back of the shed and this one was built to serve the GW top link locos as they liked to trim their own coal and not have it smashed to bits when dropped from the mechanical hoist.

F63267B8-654A-4705-8031-12AA97596092.jpeg A little more planning on Marches road, My dad had a few building left over from his Bristol Bath road project and I’ve come home with the office block, it’s been cut to fit this board and is now undergoing some TLC, I think I can reprieve it.

The raised section for the coaling stage has been made and this will get clad in play and then with brick. There will be a brick arch retaining wall on the midland side but only about half way currently displayed by a track box. A small oil tank and the siding alongside to display a few oil tanks if it was so desired, on the road where the king is next to the coaling road will be an ideal place for a few 16 ton minerals and there will be a small yard crane included just like the one on Aberpandy.
This project should be done by the end of August, 6’ x 3’ I will be making Legs and a lighting plinth including a 4’ LED light strip, The boards will separate by the coaling stage making two boards for ease of transportation. 42” x 36” & 30” x 36”
The track will be hand laid using C&L components and the shed yard will be my usual filth and grime with plenty of details like water cranes, buffer stops and shed clutter to add
