and a warm to the forum from a dreek Dundee Great to have you onboard and look forward to hearing about yourself and your modelling adventures so far. Once again welcome to the forum Paul
Thanks Paul Its good to see some of the great work that is being done on here. I am modelling in OO gauge with a time slot of 1950 too 2000 but not that worried if its not prototypical at the moment. I make a lot of my own building using 3d printing either in filament or resin. John
Andy If I did not have the access to a 3D printer I would not be able to afford to make the layout look the way I want. Its still not a cheap tool but I am getting my moneys worth out of the 2 printers I own. I have been looking at the work of many of the members and it is inspiring with many great ideas I can add to my own layout.
G`day John Welcome aboard Platform 1 MRC I hope you have a pleasant journey with us Gormo.....Sydney.......Australia
Its amazing what new skills I have had to learn while building the layout. Never a dull moment to be had in this hobby. Most of my designs are done in Sketchup but now starting to play with blender for figure design pose changes.
Welcome to the forum John. 3D printing and designing programs are just witchcraft to me so it's great to see the models you guys make!! Pete.
Thanks Pete 3d printing has its ups and downs while you learn what the printers can do for you. Some of the software does take a bit of learning. My second figure design has just come of the resin printer and looking good. Just got to get my head around painting them next. Also got a big building to paint once I get the small change to the turnout and signal and spot detector Arduino Nano node wired in.
Thanks Andy its should be completed for the dock scene to take shape in the coming weeks. But that will depend if I get side tracked in the mean time. what with figure creation and working on the adaptation of the layout control bus. But the hardest part is remembering how I did the first time lol.
