Hi Everyone, what a welcome! Please be patient with me as I'm a forum virgin. I grew up in Tonbridge Kent and emigrated in 1985. I live in Safety Bay WA and am good mates with Kimbo, he is my DCC guru. We are both in the Southern Railway Modellers Group WA and myself and a few of the other members will be helping Kim out at Claremont with Lord Street Depot. I think Steve Power is on this forum who is our long-distance member travelling from Sydney to see us at the show. I have a collection of mainly BR Southern Region locos and stock all kick-started with a visit to the Bluebell in 2007 and purchasing their very last Hornby Blackmore Vale from the shop. The real one was in steam that day and I fell in love. Needless to say she has been DCC sound fitted (by Kim) and runs on our club layout Alton on the DCC branch that becomes our show layout Medley. I don't have a layout of my own as I ditched the N gauge I had when I came back from the UK, I rent and don't have the space. In this way the club layout suits me fine apart from the 1 hour journey involved there and back. When I get a chance I will post some pics of our layout and stock. I am a keen modeller though not as prolific as some, I get quite a few ideas and techniques from plastic kit modelling.....but thats another story. Hope I haven't bored you with this waffle and from now on promise to keep it short and sweet. Cheers Chris
