Richard and a warm to the forum from a cold Dundee Great to have you onboard and look forward to hearing about yourself and your modelling adventures so far. Paul
Hello from Essex I have had a model railway habit from around 1970 to 1982, and then from around 2002 to date. I have tried out most of the popular combinations of scale and gauge and settled on 7mm scale in the summer of 2021. I am currently building the locos and stock for a might have been scheme, a light railway running from Langford to Heybridge Basin in Essex. I am posting my progress on this on 'Western Thunder' in a workbench topic called "The Heybridge Railway, 1889 to 1913". I have come to Platform1 MRC on the suggestion of one of your administrators because I am pondering a build of a GER R24 and @paul blythe has described his start-up of the Ace J67/69. I will keep my Heybridge railway project at WT, but I do hope to contribute to Platform1 when I feel I have something fresh or useful to say. I also expect to admire a great deal of fine model making.
welcome. you may just inspire me to complete the j67 its been some time since i touched it. im not sure why but i often have 3 or 4 projects to keep me interested at any one time. that one seems to have slipped down the list. times to get back on it
