Totally agree with Chris, top photo Steve. The grass doesn't look as yellow as in previous pics, which to me, makes the scene look a lot more realistic. The variation in ground coverings and the variation in colour is very, very nice. Cheers, Gary.
This one was taken in natural light which makes all the difference. I will change the bulbs over to daylight ones at some point.
There is a lot to be said about that big yellow thing burning in the sky ! More natural light pics please ! Cheers, Gary.
Saved the best till last - you tease. Lovely picture of a superb set of models - even if it is a GWR scene Paul PS took me so long to post you slipped another excellant pic in.
Super work Steve. Did you fettle the sleeper spacing out to match the prototype? They look different to me but it might just be the camera angle. Marty
Hi Steve, What is your sleeper spacing working out at? When adjusting the spacing, does the track lose any notable amount of strength ? Cheers Toto
I respace to match C&L flexi track. I'm not sure what the measurements are but I can find out. It does make a difference visually Steve
Cheers Steve. Is the track still robust enough when handling after the spacing. Especially if introducing a flex in it. No loss of gauge ? Cheers Toto
No loss of gauge, it can be a bit of a fiddle, but not enough to stop me from doing it. If it's straight track then a little drop of super glue will hold the sleeper on place. Once you've added your curve tap a few pins against the rail to hold it in place then space all the sleepers to suit, you can add a small drop of super glue along side the sleeper so it holds firm to the board.
Excellent Steve. I can certainly see why your image has been chosen as 'Pic of the Week'. Congratulations. Cheers, Gary.
