Hey Some of you might have seen pictures of my layout in the Märklin exhibition thread. I thought I'd up load some more. The layout is 3000mm long and 700-900mm Deep.Took about 8 months to build it, was mostly completed in 2012 (they're never finished) I'm looking at either doubling the length of this layout, or reusing a lot of the items to build a completely new layout. I'll be in Newcastle this weekend for the exhibition if anyone wants to come have a look and a chat.If you want any more pictures of the layout just ask and I'll try and grab some this weekend. I have a nice collection of locos, so if there's any loco you fancy you'd like to see working just put it in here. Also, if anyone gets the inside joke behind the name please let me know.
Great looking layout Phil, love the coal drop scene. Another nicely presented layout. More pictures please as its a bit of a journey over to have a proper looksey http://www.click
Lovely Phil, It has that big feel to it regardless of the scale......very nicely done... http://www.clickGormo
Phil, that's a very pretty layout you've built, very nice indeed. I like the way the track flows through the scenery. All the best, Mark.
Fantastic layout. I too am a big fan of your coal drop. Nicely done. All the best for your exhibition. I'm sure it will go down great. Toto
This is here folks, I think one of the best if not the best LNER n gauge layout I have seen in NSW. It really is a great layout. By the way, Phil, I'll see you on the sunday
Loch7009 wrote: You are possibly right it's also probably the only N scale layout of British outline currently on the Exhibition scene in Sydney. It truly is a quality layout, no It's a "Model Railway" one of those ones that you have to ask is that really "N", when you see it in photos. Great work keep the photos coming Ps Loch don't forget to collect the 10na from Phill when you see him on Sunday
Thanks for all the love guys, appreciate it. chiefnerd wrote: It is indeed, from my favourite movie, and the trivia behind the use of the name in that movie is even more brilliant. Phil
SMR CHRIS wrote: I thinks theres also a modular layout floating around, but I think it's more of a racetrack than an actual layout
Loch7009 wrote: Yes it's a "Layout" not a "Model Railway" I'm Going to Newcastle Saturday Morning I'll bring some Platform 1 flyers to the Show Phil I see your another Coasty Phil that's 5 P1 members now on the Central Coast
SMR CHRIS wrote: Yeah I was curious as to how many British Railway modellers lived on the Coast. My father and I have been considering hosting an exhibition here for some time. I think I might have a little table with things for sale on it so you can put some flyers on there if you want.

I'm on the next lake from you at SanRemo I'll see you Saturday morning at Newcastle.
G'day Phil, I knew that the members here would like your layout. After all, it is a beautiful piece of work. Thanks for posting more pics. Cheers, Gary.
Hi Phil, Congratulations on POTW. A very easy choice as it is a stunning photo. Coal drops are one of my favorite features on a layout and this one is very impressive. Thanks for posting and sharing with us. Again ...... well done. cheers toto
