Although I don't 'kitbash' to Gary's standard, here are a few of my own, tailored to meet my needs on the layout. First up is the old favourite Ratio concrete footbridge. I 'bashed' two kits to meet my needs for a three platform footbridge, complete with lighting.

Now several views of my 'Cement works', which is a 'bashed' "Walther's" kit with some added covered loading bays, blended in with a 'bashed' "Knightwing" mine kit to again give me the sort of setup I felt would fit my layout. First pic is of the cement silo's with extra covered loading bay added.

This pic shows another extra loading bay for bagged cement to rail vans and road trucks.

The rotary furnace in the previous pic is motorised using the Walther's motorising kit controlled by my handsets with a DCC decoder. This is a more 'general' view, (quarry explosives store in the background), most of this area is "Knightwing" based kit with some added overhead conveyors.

Another 'zoomed out' view of the area, giving a bit better idea of the cement works/quarry. I went on a 'photographic trip' some time previously, to the 'Hope Valley' cement works in the High Peak , some 20 miles from home, with the objective of getting some idea of the general layout, but as much of the works is screened by the local scenery, it wasn't of that much use. I gather that from time to time, the works organise trips round the complex, but too late now for me! Anyway, I've tried to convey an impression of a similar works, adding details like overhead lines to an electrical substation, explosives store etc, and oddments like the chimneys aircraft warning light and lightning conductor.

Great timing with the pics of the silos Keith.

I'm about to scratch build a set for Jack's plank. I'll post up pics as I go along. ;)

Hope Valley Cement Works is huge. I would say if you had modelled this it would have taken up some serious room ! :avatar::avatar:

A lot of builds going on there Keith. I have a few Knightwing OO scale kits and they are very good. The walthers silos are particularly impressive with all the detail on top.

I kit bash now and then, I have a long running conversion of a Knightwing (Loco 1 kit) diesel shunter to turn it into something like what it is supposed to be. I dabble with it now and then, may be one day iit will get finished.
Here is what I am aiming for:
