So not been on for a few weeks I'm currently building a WW2 military transport train. So far I've built up a collection of vehicles and a couple of wagons also a Bachmann 2-8-0 austerity has had a new coat of olive drab paint just need to number her up now Attached files
This is going to be interesting Keep us posted Chris You have done a nice job on the tanks Looking forward to seeing the 2-8-0 when she's finished, as well as the tank carriers for those nice tanks http://www.click
Hi all up date on the WW2 train I'm using a mix of revell kits and airfix with some modified parts I've just finished one of the war flats as seen in the picture lots more work to do and looking at getting a few war wells. I will also attempte to scratch build some war flats Attached files
Here is the Bachmann WD austerity 2-8-0 repainted in a dark olive drab which I think in this scale looks very good I tried a bronze green as applied to UK vehicles during WW2 and found it looked to dark will be adding a cab number and WD with a broad arrow on to the tender but it's slowly getting there Attached files
So continuing my work on east coast trains and locomotives during WW2 I found this it's a WD 2-8-0 with full armour platting added for work in hostel areas watch this space as when I get a 2ND WD I'll be building one as I don't think it's been done yet I could be wrong Attached files
Looks interesting Chris. Looking forward to the armour plated version. I've never seen one before. cheers Toto
The drama I'm going to have is this is the only picture and detail I've found on the subject so could well be a bit of artistic license but I'm sure it will come out well just need a cheap 2-8-0 now to build it around
Hi,Just seen your post on Armoured loco 2-8-0 Austerity type, attached is a brief history of it, and the side on pic might be helpfulwhen making it.I will try and find a better pic of it.regards,Roger P. Perth Oz. Attached files
