Well done on POTW. Some really excellent scenes you have posted. Keep them coming. I'm sure we will all enjoy viewing them. Again, well done and thanks for sharing them. Cheers Toto
He was one of a set Bachmann probably, who ever had the distincitve marking on their head gear, so he was already painted, but i changed the colours to have the orange over trousers as a friend wore in real life and add the sunglasses too.I quite often refinish painted figures to personalise or in my opinion improve, others might not always agree
8438 Unpainted figures obviously need a paint, but some bought pre painted figures are not the best either, Attached files
I sometimes despair of the look of some prepainted figures, they look like refugees from a Micheal Portillo fan club meet but as you say, they can soon be sorted out. Pete.
8440 These are not hard to improve But a quick paint job helps them no end, as so many of the pack had ended up with the teddy bear? cat? dog? They are perfect for a funfair Attached files
i painted the bottom of the 'sneakers' white allowing it to lap up the edges, then then a couple of rough crosses on top for the white laces
Wow Jaz, You certainly have been busy over the last few days. The thread on your figures is great. It should give others the confidence to have a go at repainting there own. I have in the past created bespoke figures from the Dapol/Airfix range with pleasing results. The middle two figures are original, the outer are the results... Cheers, Gary.
Nice work, I think it good to always personalise figures even the well recognised ones. 2597 Nato figures with a different paint job.....watch out for the SAWRM! Attached files
