Great start to a layout thread Keefe. The layout looks to have a variety of operating potential and I'll be interested to see where the branch line ends up. Have you got a track plan of your layout you can post up ?? As for BR Blue, well.... Cheers, Gary.
Gary wrote: Thanks Gary, been messing around with Scarm, not managed a full track plan yet but will work on it. I might just do a quick drawing later, will post up soon. Ah the BR Blue, goes back to my early memories, the good ol days , I won't just stick with the Blue I may in future get some sector liveries too as I do like these. Here are my locos so far........ Early Bachmann 08 Bachmann Class 20 with Dcc Sound Bachmann Class 25 Mainline 45 Peak VI Trains 37 Bachmann 105 2 Car DMU Set Attached files
VI Trains 37, my latest arrival, very detailed but badly needs weathering, the yellow ends are far to bright. Attached files
Don't try and fit a Bachmann 36-553 decoder in the trailer car Keefe, it won't fit without filing a bit off the decoder board (guess how I know). Ed
Nice selection of motive power. As for weathering, it is hard to take a pristine model and dirty it up. Having said that, I have done most of my stock, both locos and wagons, but not the coach stock. Cheers, Gary.
Well here it is folks my first proper plan of the layout as Gary made a request that I should do one. Took a while as I had to re-learn how to use Scarm again, great program once you get the hang of it Comments & Advice more than welcome Keefe Attached files
ed wrote: Thanks for the advice ed, I only have 1 Hattons Decoder for the power car didn't know about the trailer having one too, I'm lead to believe it only works the lights ! Keefe
Gary wrote: Glad you like them Gary, except their Blue says you Yes I'm a bit nervous doing the weathering as I've never done one before, watched heaps of video's on the subject, I sure won't rush into it ! Keefe
