G'day gazaw2278, Welcome aboard from an overcast Sydney. Looking forward to reading about your own modelling exploits, whether you are a harden modeller or new to the hobby. Plenty of great topics here to cast your eyes over and read up on. Enjoy the camaraderie and banter that is P1MRC. Cheers, Gary.
Hi and welcome gazaw2778 to the forum, great to have you join us . Have a good look around and see what we are about, then jump in and tell us a little about yourself. Cheer's, Pete.
Thanks Gary. Good to see a few Aussies here. I am an n scale modeller, focused on nsw and the great named passenger trains of the USA in the 40s to 60s. A little bit of LNER/BR and some Japanese stock also make appearances. regards Gary W
G'day Gary, The Aussies here make up the next highest contingency of modellers, just behind the UK members ! Question for you.., are the numbers behind your name got anything to do with the Central Coast, or could it be something to do with your date of birth...?? Cheers, Gary.
and to Platform1 from another Down Under Platform1 member. Good to see you starting to post Look forward to hearing about you modelling interests the N scale side of Platform1 could do with a few more Layouts topics, Now Just a warning watch out for the O scale bug he has bitten several Platform1 Modellers Re what Gary was saying re 2778 in your forum tag ? Part way up the Sydney side of blue mountains is the 27 code if I remember rightly. Enjoy the forum and looking forward to seeing you modelling http://www.click
Hi Gary and SMR Chris 2778 is the postcode for Woodford in the Blue Mountains. It's a good 2 hour drive to the central cost from here. I have just uploaded a couple of earlier photos of the branch line (upper level) of my layout. The only overview shot I have is a couple of years old but I will upload that as well. Regards Gary Attached files
Looking forward to seeing the layout thread. When Chris is warning to be wary of the O gauge bug - he's the main cause of the epidemic Paul
Hi gazaw2778 from a cloudy cold Spain that's an impressive layout room you've got there very neat and orderly with no hammer in sight Ian vt
Nice intro to your modelling Gary W, I reckon your layout thread will be very interesting. Cheer's, Pete.
Great looking layout Gary There must be a helix in there some where. Looking forward to you starting a layout topic. Thanks for posting
Hi Gary Am looking forward to seeing your post on what appears to be a great layout. Love the station building. It is a bit like mine on my Dargan post which is based in my version of the Blue Mountains. Is the station lighting in kit form or DIY? Most of my Dargan layout is lit but all DIY as kits are not available for most structures. I will be posting a piece on my approach to lighting on Dargan over the next week or so. Cheers for now and happy modelling Richard
