Just bought this little beauty from Trident Trains nr, Nantwich. Nothing too much trouble for the owner, Richard. On DCC it has 3 lighting functions F0 Front/Rear directional lamps F1 Leading cab light F2 Interior lights No lighting had been mentioned before. In fact Dapol's website just says that it is being distributed to dealers. It's not even listed on their product list. Jim
Gary - remember after his recent illness he's not buying anymore Nice looking railcar, pity about the colour tho' Paul
Hi I have one of these and they are very nice, they run smooth and look good, however does any body know the CV values as there are a number of lihghting functions and runing functions that you can change. I have emailed Dapol twice with no replys as of yet. Cheers Richard
No indication Richard of the brand of decoder? By using your programme track, one can find out the manufacturer https://www.nmra.org/sites/default/files/standards/sandrp/pdf/appendix_a_s-9.2.2.pdf Usually found in CV7 https://www.nmra.org/sites/default/files/standards/sandrp/pdf/s-9.2.2_decoder_cvs_2012.07.pdf
Sol it's a Dapol own brand The issue is that F2 is not a latching function on a lot of DCC systems so I moved the lighting function that was on F2 to F4 So I used the NMRA standard CV values but it responded randomly not as expected took a bit of trial and error but eventually got it, ie Standard CV for F2 wasn't Controlling F2 can't remeber the exact one but I think it ended up being the standard NMRA CV for F7 It would be nice for future reference to know what the correct CV's are. Possibly Dapol don't know as the factory that build the railcars DCC fitted has supplied the decoder under Dapols manufactures DCC number.
