    Having said that Mr Timber only the other week an incredibly slim and attractive blonde floor manager tried to sell me a gas fire for our current house refurb, the issue was after I'd insisted she undid the carton to inspect the contents it was noted that the back surround was missing. Still it was quite fun watching her put it all back in the box again... :D I didn't buy it needless to say but the B&Q black combat trousers did seem to fit snugly and compensated for what was otherwise a complete waste of my time.:avatar:

    Thanks Kevin for the nice comment :thumbs:, I finished the display diorama now and have a couple of pictures to show taken this morning in good light with the garden as a backdrop. Just need to make the actual cabinet now.

    Saw it in the flesh this weekend along with Elton Crossing. The photos don't do them justice. A lesson in scenics. :thumbs:

    A rare privilege, as it will not be on the circuit, but I may well get to see the diorama, as it will eventually reside just down the road!

    Elton Crossing won't ever be on the show circuit but a new layout project based on the NSR Ashbourne Line called "Norbury Bridge" will once the design for manufacture of parts has been formalised.

    Does anyone else get the feeling that Elton Crossing shouldn’t be confined to the upper floor of Paul’s house having seen it ? :giggle:

    May need a redesign :scratchchin::giggle:

    Absolutely. A real shame. It is a fantastic layout and very rich in detail.
