    Hi Kim ,
This is good to see your Q1 running after all the trials and tribulations of the build.
A great sight for us Southern lot down the South end of the Island.
    Dodgey Roger.

Cheers Roger  yes I’m glad that part is done, now I’m sorting out a draw bar to link up the tender which will allow me to finish off the tender pickups and then give her a run on the track.

Roger helped me out a great deal with drawings, photos and information, so it seemed only fitting that he should choose the running number for this locomotive.
And so here is Roger with his old “mate”

9 months up date where did that time go.
Well the tender is now fitted with real coal, crew are in place. There’s a couple of detailing bits to finish off then she needs weathering.

    Well,

you've gone and done it now ......:avatar: One on the way from Gladiator ..... and its all your fault. :whatever: I've always admired these for their originality and no ..... I dont think they are ugly .... more visually less gifted .... :avatar:

again a great and very inspiring build .... I hope I can get half the result that you got with yours. A build to be very proud of.

    cheers

    Cheers Toto.
I’ve still got a few things to sort out with it plus a tender decal (I think) and it needs some weathering.....might have a go at it today.

I messed up with my order with Gladiator thinking that I had ordered one of these. Dont ask ..... so my alternative was either an MOK version .... or this one from ACE. Going on the basis that you have done such an excellent job of this, its testament to the fact it's a very buildable kit so I have ordered the ACE version. I see they advertise this kit as award winning. And an ex meteor kit.

    Cheers

Look forward to seeing what you get in your kit Toto. Hope they have improved the very basic instructions that I got with mine.
If I can be of any help I’m here, and I’m sure Roger will chip in if you need technical/ historical references. As Paul would say, I’ve got my pop corn ready for this build.

I hope you bought the family size bag. :avatar: 4f to build first. Cutting my teeth as it were on my first tender loco.

    Cheers

Just caught up again. Your video Kim is excellent mate, especially the exhaust puffing, I've not seen that before.
These locos were built down to a price thats why things like running plates were not built in. Personally I think they look amazing and if I could afford and justify it to the management I would love one.

    Cheers, Pete.
