I know these are a Rails commission so are going to be a bit pricier than the norm, but this does seem to be a bit 'over the top' pricewise, although that seems to be the way things are going lately. Having said that, I am personally guilty of coughing up the £125 price tag for the LNER Dynamometer car not long ago, another Rails commission. In my defence 'yer 'onour, it was an item I really wanted to create the 'test train' set up by Bulleid for the Leader project, so I had to bite the bullet somewhat. This weekend at the York show though, I saw that the same coach under the auspices of the 'NRM Collection' now has a price tag of £150, which does make me feel slightly better! I guess that if like me with the Dynamometer car, the vans are something that you absolutely must have for a particular train formation, then you just have to swallow hard and reach for the credit card, though at least, being in Oz, it'll be around 20% cheaper. :giggle:

I am a little disappointed that, having announced a pre-grouping wagon type, they have not actually offered a pre-grouping livery variant. Apparently, they would have to alter the brake gear and add vents to the roof to back-date the model.

I have added just one BR liveried example to my Rails wishlist. The word is that five examples survived into BR ownership, so to get any more at this stage would be overkill for me. In spite of my forum name, I have very few SR liveried items, but a lot more pre-grouping and post-nationalisation stock.
