Just ordered a set of these for bending loco bodies and boilers etc. From some Italian crowd, can't remember the name but I'll post up the details when they arrive.

I'll now need to get a suitable bench vice but it is the way to go as self supporting versions weigh in at a whopping 37kg. These are 11kg. Much more flexible for occassional shed use.

    Photos later.

    Cheers

Toto you can get bench vices which mount onto a Workmate... the professional heavy duty portable bench type that is.

Might be an idea cos they are useful thing to have... I've started a diorama display for Highlander Models and its set out on a workmate at the moment, not boiler rolling I know but space saving. I'll get you a few pics up tomorrow as right now there isn't that much worth photing... you can then see what's coming your way :avatar:

    and here it is .....

its a heavy beast. .... grease proof paper covering the rollers which I've left in place for now.

and from the other side .....

and a pretty accurately marked out set of roller adjustment spindles ......

they come in at around 17kg. ...... I'll need to get SWIMBO to carry them out to the shed for me ....... don't want to pull a muscle do I . :avatar:

    cheers

    Hi Tom,

What diameter are the rollers, they look quite substantial.

I ask because my Guillotine also has a set of rollers built in but they are far too thick to be of much use for modelling purposes. I have a set of GW Models rollers that I use for kit's but they are admittedly only 10" long so won't roll a coach roof but will allow for rolling boilers etc. for locos.

I'll need to measure the rollers Rob. I'll come back to you on that when I get the chance.
