Im in on the first Compertition build a scale scenes "free download" building.

What to build all have merits but the cryptic clues to the conditions Mmmmmm I like the low relief factory but the inspection pit could come into its own in part 2? The coal mearchants also looks the business.
It's interesting that the base size has a max size  so do I go for Nscale as the scale for the building to be able to make the most of the max size?? :headbanger: down loaded all 3 now to decide.:scratchchin:

:avatar: Lucky Shelley just got a brand new printer

Now I'll just say now I hate :faint: model "building" construction with a passion give me a wagon challenge any time.http://www.click

    Hi Chris,
first of all, I'd say that you are doing the right thing paying attention to the cryptic clues. Secondly as far as scale goes, for part 1 you have the equivalent of six scale feet all around the perimeter of the kit which applies to all scales. ( N, OO, HO, O etc )
There is a link on Scalescenes website http://scalescenes.com/not-modelling-in-n-or-oo/ which will allow you to resize to the scale that you wish to model in from T scale through to O scale.
There will always be the odd question to be answered to clarify any queries. so feel free.
    cheers

Mat The Goat just jumped down the page

Thanks Toto for the clarification of the max size boundary to be 6ft in the chosen scale.

And for any one wanting a size to scale of print reference it is reproduced below

HO scale (1:87 ) - reduce Scalescenes OO to 87%
    N scale (International 1:160) - reduce Scalescenes N to 93%
    O scale (British 1:43 ) - enlarge Scalescenes OO to 176%
O scale (International 1:48) - enlarge Scalescenes OO to 158%
    28mm scale (1:56) - enlarge Scalescenes OO to 135%
TT scale (1:120) - reduce Scalescenes OO to 63%
TT scale (3mm) - reduce Scalescenes OO to 75%
    S scale (1:64) - enlarge Scalescenes OO to 118%
    Z scale (1:220) - reduce Scalescenes N to 67%
    T scale (1:450) - reduce Scalescenes N to 33%

The Goat got loose  I think Ian may have lassoed it again:thumbs:

    Hi Mat
The cryptic tones in the clues sort of tell everyone that they can think outside the box, Tom did put the link up for the size conversion so I thought it was only fair to put them up.
I'm sure I when I first read the rules there was a max size of the board ?? I am Dyslexic so could have read it wrong but the scale 6 foot all round still works for me actualy could be an advantage now.

:scratchchin: now just have to work out how to put some wagon wheels on it out of only the kit parts :faint:

Keep an eye on the Goat the rope I wrangled it with is almost eaten through.:avatar:

Many thanks Chris, as Matt suggested, I'll include your scale table in the comp rules. I'll do it on me lap top later tonight.

    Thanks you kind sir.

As the rules say - the flounder can change them :avatar:

When you raised your question, originally it said 25mm, which would favour smaller gauge modellers, so 6ft seemed a fairer compromise. Bearing in mind the aim of this competition is to get everyone making card models, especially those who have never tried the medium.

Happy building (and posting), still making my mind up which one to build - an excuse to build in 7mm may not be passed by :twitch:

Ok attempt 2 of part 1 started :scratchchin:
Why 2, as when I printed choice no1 out, the parts of the inspection pit in O scale realised how big it would be 😢 I should have realised but was blinded by the LED lights I was planning to use to light the pit lights with.

So option 2 join the flock and go with the coal office well for attempt one of this anyway, the rules say can only submit one doesn't say can't build more than one.
Printed and now varnished drying now
