Yes, thoughts of a black five came into my mind as I typed it Kim. I'm not likely to see one in my price range so could be safe there. :>)
    cheers

Hi Ralph, good to hear from you and thanks once again for your hospitality.
I look forward to seeing more of the progress of your railway.
Miserable weather here so nothing will be done until it improves.
    cheers
    Bob

Just struggling to get to 8C as I took this.
The wind chill factor however made that temperature seem like a dream. At least it wasn't a minus in front of the eight as it was overnight. :>)
A good day to be a fireman.

The 18 class did not get a very long test run.

Bit warmer here Bob, hoping to get a run on Ralph’s this week if the rain clouds stay away. I’m sure 1803 liked the sun on her tanks :avatar:

Dreams of being back in nice warm Perth are now just a memory Kim, hope you get some running at Ralph's.
Maybe one day I will get back there.
    cheers

It had only reached 7C when I took the photo this morning but with no wind it was actually quite pleasant outside.
I hope the passengers enjoyed the nicer day.

Never letting an unseasonable bout of warm weather go to waste saw the running of the Glen Innes Mail this afternoon.

The Glen Innes Mail looks evil with the 'Red Terror' livery 44 Class at the helm !

I guess you can never model 4456 after 1994..., after all 4456 entered service January 17, 1961. It was scrapped on December 6, 1994 !

    Cheers, Gary.

My era modelled has become rather elastic as the years have gone by Gary.
It was supposed to be circa 1969 when I was first working in Sydney.
When the HO 80 class came on the market at less than $100 years ago I succumbed to the sirens call and shifted the boundaries. :>)
With an N67 currently on the books and thoughts of making the M class tank, the stretch in the opposite direction is out of control!
    cheers
    Bob

My BR diesel interests have always been 1970s onwards....until heljan released the rare bird of a western in BR green. Though my interpretation of pre grouping modelling is gradually getting more and more rule 1 when my Hull and Barnsley wagons get to south wales because "LOL" and "uR mUm", for want of a better reason...

Here we see 4108 on a light trip working passing a mail either running very late or getting an extra daylight assignment.

Sorting through the old photo albums I came across this faded shot. No doubt taken on my old bellows camera with cheap film on a foggy day.
