O beloved leader - should get me extra points

Can I change my mind part way through and change my entry ?

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure........

    Yes, oh lowly one.
anybody could start out with any kit and change part way through. You can however only submit one. Also remember that progress photos must be submitted at various / regular parts of the build.
    go for it my minnion.

For those who have never built a card kit have a look at

Simple Card Kit - it covers the Low relief warehouse kit.

My basic card kit tool kit is

    Stanley knife for Heavy card
Craft knives for medium card and heavy paper
Scalpel for fine cutting on paper - windows etc.

A roller (brayer) for rolling the paper to the card when sticking down - rolling pin (don't get caught) or wall paper roller will work just as well.

    Assorted rules, drills and clamps.

Glues - Glue sticks - I like the kids ones that go on purple, and dry clear, makes it easy to see that you've covered the whole area. PVA, two varieties Tacky, and craft glue.
The craft glue is in a Fine Tip PVA glue applicator, allows really small amounts of glue to be applied accurately.

    I got mine from

http://www.finetip.co.uk - just checked and they have stopped selling them :headbanger:

Toto however managed to get some from Metcalfe models, and they're cheaper too

Now I've my secrets away, I'd better decide which kit to build.

I don't see a can (aerosol) of matt acrylic sealer or dull cote amongst your tools Paul... :scratchchin:

For those who have never built a Scalescenes kit, I recommend a coat of sealer to the printed sheets before assembly. This will protect and also aid in any weathering you may choose to do.

    Cheers, Gary.

I have my can of matt sealer, but missing the other tools - not!
Thanks for the insight to your tool box.
    Bring it on

Aye your right Gary, I forgot the Matt Varnish, I keep forgetting to apply it as well :whatever:

For the record I use Winsor and Newton - Galleria Acrylic Medium Matt Varnish, and will hand brush or spray.

    Decisions, decisions ......

I've never built anything in 7mm before, and this seems like a really good excuse to try something different.

May have to test build a couple to see which I like the best :giggle:

Well, didnt get much luck scaling up with my printer, but did find I could load the sheets into the GIMP
resize up by 158%, then cut and paste the bits onto A4 images (actually made the page 200 x 285, so that I didn't get any issues with print margins.

One of us is still waiting for a new printer, then learn how to use it, then learn how to make the prints bigger, hopefully I will have something to show this year :headbanger:.
