I decided I might as well have a go, so I am going for the RO24 Kit Free downloadable Weighbridge Coal Office, plenty of coal offices around here so I can go and get some real live ideas.

I missed the start of this competition malarky as I was in Blackpool and have just got back, any hoo I like the look of the weighbridge office and have just ordered a new printer and inks hopefully they should be here next week and I will download said weighbridge and blow it up to O scale, too late for the comp` but I still fancy having a go, I want to build a photo shoot plank and I will use it on that.

    Pete.

Sorry for highjacking your thread Dave .

Pete There is plenty of time for a skilled modeller like you to have a go, the closing date is the end of May, so you have a full two months...

Well thats the first hurdle over for me -- I managed to up scale to 7mm and split the requiredcomponents on to two sheets of A4 so it will come out through the wife's laser printer....

I also ordered a bunch of stuff from fleabay to be able to do things, scalpels, craft knife, steel rulers, cutting mat etc

Hi Tany just bear in mind that modelling in paper/card is all about the importance of 'short cuts' ... seriously.

True, as Tany has to eat the whole box of his Cornflakes, so that he has cardboard in reserve !

    Cheers, Gary.

ps. Always a good idea to print out two copies of the printed sheets, (not the instructions), just in case you bodge one of the sides, interior, roof etc...

Rest of my tools arrived today so with a bit of luck fair wind and some glue sticks I will hopefully start soon.

Just a bedroom to paint and a bit of grass to mow first, rain will stop the mowing.

Extra All Bran in the morning - you need to build up the cardboard stocks.
The boxes dogs bonios and marrow bone rolls are in are good, a bit thicker cardboard than normal, and after a while you get used to the taste. As a bonus you get a shiney coat and a wet nose win win all round. In my case the dog became my new bestest friend as I couldn't eat the bonios quick enogh to keep the build going :avatar:
