    Hi Everyone,
Can anyone tell me where I can get a copy of the signaling diagram for the Maidenhead area c1992?

I Know that by then there was no Maidenhead box and control would have been from either Slough or Reading Power Boxs (not sure which?).

    Many thanks
    Paul

    Hi Tallpaul,
If my memory serves me right I believe there was a signal box at Twyford between Reading and Slough, there was a branch line that ran to Marlow and High Wycombe. Also a signal box at West Drayton with a branch to Staines, but not sure I am trying to tax my brain from my GWR days when I worked out of Old Oak Common and Southall. there was a box at Southall one at Hayes. If you look it up on the internet for 50s and 60s you may find what your are looking for. There were signal boxes at Ealing Broadway and West Ealing .
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Gloria.

    Hi again Tallpaul,
If you have a look at the Great Western archive there is a list of Signal boxes in the area you are searching for .
    Regards,
    Gloria.

    Thanks Gloria,
I already have all the 1950-1970 data on Signal boxes in the area that I need.

What I now need (and I did say c1992 in my original post), is a diagram for the 1992 version of my model of the Maidenhead area when the control was at Slough Power Box.

Slough Power box remained in control of the area until it closed in 2015.

I need to decide which of the signals in my 1962 version of my model need to be removable for the 1992 version and which can remain fixed.

I am already cheating slightly because I am using the post 1963 signal modernization (main lines and relief lines converted to colour light signals) version of the signals for 1962 as to use the actual 1962 signals which were all semaphores would need all the signals (some 20+ of them) to be replaced for the change to the 1992 version!

    Best regards
    Paul

    Hi Tallpaul,
I am sorry for the confusion. I left the railway in 1964 up until then everything was the same I am not sure what happened after that regarding signalling on the dates you require.
There must be some information somwhere as there were a lot of closures happening specially some branch lines and signal boxes done away with.
    Hope that helps,
    Regards,
    Gloria.
Ps sorry I can't be any of any use to you as I would have loved to help.
