Modelling on the D&S has taken a backwards step - been busy doing timetables, graphs and train orders plus getting involved with a large Model train Exhibition here in South Australia.

As the Train Controller. it gives me a visual indication of what trains are next & at what stations they stop at.
Necessary when you have single line working with 3 diamond crossings so I have to make sure trains are timed so no collisions occur.

And as Excel files are not an allowable attachment, I can't show it to you.

PS. no e-mail advice that you have replied to the previous post

Yes Andy I can do that, save each one & reduce the JPG size but it is easier IMO to add the file as an attachment.

    G`day Ron,
I no longer have MS Office, but I think you should be able to export your files from MS Office as PDF`s, which in turn could be attached to your posts.
The limited file types allowed on the forum would be dictated by the Software Developer and would be out of Toto`s hands to control I would think.?
I guess a wider range of file types would leave the software more vulnerable to cyber attack, as it would be more difficult to keep the forum secure.
The forum is under attack every day from spammers and quite honestly, it`s relentless, so giving the bad guys more opportunities to attack the forum, won`t even be on the table to be considered in my opinion.
I know it`s inconvenient Ron, but we need to keep things as secure as possible in the best interests of all the members.
    Merry Christmas

Gormo, tried that but MS Office my version of Excel 2010 does not save the entire file as a PDF, only the page that is opened.

I have Excel files that contain several pages per file.

LibreOffice, will it opens up PDF , it doesn't save Files as PDF

Cyber attacks can be in any file format, even JPG.

But if that is what the software has dictated, so be it.

    G`day Ron,
I have Libre Office 5 on this PC and it can save files as a PDF. It will do it in Writer, Calc, Drawing etc. from the file menu top left.
I have recorded a screen to show the method. Hope this helps.

Thanks Gormo, I found it in version 6 - it is under File export as PDF, ruins some of the formatting of the original file though - OK for a simple spreadsheet/ document.

Yes I`ve found in the past, that if you are trying to do graphics, as per a mimic panel, they don`t transfer well from one system to the other.
Best to design and display and print all in the one system.
Glad you`ve worked through it to a solution.....

I did find how to do it in Excel --- File - click Save & Send & it allows for a PDF version with options - all good except for one page which I will look at. Fixed

Since Post #90 Dec 17,2019, there have been a couple of track changes
    Capture5.PNG

not only at each end but Watchit now has 3 through running tracks & doing timetables so that trains do not collide at the diamonds takes a few trials & close misses to get to an almost perfect timetable ( until one of the crew runs late... )
