Cheers Mark, glad you enjoyed it. It’s one of the great things about this hobby, kit building for a few days, painting, decals, wiring, then back to some good old running sessions with a cuppa.

Just caught up Kimbo, brilliant work on the lining out mate :tophat:.
Took me back 25 years to when I drove 80080 at the Midland Railway Centre, Butterley, it was one of the hottest days that summer but what an experience.
    Thanks for that

    Cheers, Pete.

Too nice a day not to give her a run in the sun. Hope you enjoy the video.

    Cheers Paul.

One of those great running sessions where the stars were aligned correctly.

The running stock almost behaved itself, the dog next door took a break from barking, the local passenger 1:1 scale was late sounding it horn at the crossing, Covid has taken care of the planes flying over, so the only real issue on the day was the pterodactyl that made a deposit on the return main line to the shed !

Do you have a signalman's bell code in the Absolute Block regulations which cover pterodactyls on the line ? Seriously lovely video Kim and a cracking engine... incidentally my references to a Philip who is Philip Oldfield and is / was owner of the Standard Tank 80136... to which I spent many happy times helping restore all those years ago, and of course Edward (RIP) was Ted Ball ex Stoke 5D steam fitter and Philip's long term side kick. Edward used to carry all his spanners in a cardboard soapbox and was as deaf as a post... ten past three Edward shall we have the kettle on Philip would shout up? Yes Philip I'll get my coat came the reply. :avatar:

well as the creature did not actually land on the trackwork, I think this issue is covered in the aviation hand book Under section 34 chapter 2 “low level Bombing” :avatar::avatar:

ah right, now it makes more sense to me. Well I hope I’ve done justice to 80136 and that her crew would be pleased to see her running.
