Hi seen as though I am going to be concentrating on building O gauge wagon kits I need to upgrade my craft knife. At the moment I am am using a Stanley knife :facepalm:but need to use something better.
Any advice on what type I should purchase will be a great help.

I always use swann Morton scalpels fitted with 10 and 10A blades bought from ebay - I bought a box of 10 nickel no 3 handles about 10 years ago and a box of each of the 10 and 10 A blades and I am still using them.

Another endorsement for Swann Morton here. I use a no 4 handle - they'll last a lifetime.

Like Rob I use swann morton scalpels and craft knives

Prime suspect is the Plastic handle version, Amazon link

but I do have the metal handles as well, and normally use the number 1 & 2 blades

I usually use Squires for my supplies

These I use for general work, and the No. 3 scalpel handle

And like Rob the 10A and 11 blades - from Squires 95p for a pack of 5, or 20 packs for £14.99 (100 blades), these are used for fine work.
