    Good evening gentlemen,

Thank you for your welcome, it's a different approach, and IMHO, I think it's a great idea!
It certainly makes it easier to get started, new forum and all that.

Yes, you guessed correctly, my main interest is GWR, and I model in both 4mm and 7mm scales.
    I have a stalled (temporarily, I hope) 4mm layout in my 12' x 8' shed, and I'm currently, with a few
friends, (also fellow, local MRC club members) building a 7mm exhibition layout, it will also include
an Inglenook, which can be operated, independently, from the front.
It's actually set in the sixties, based on 'bubble' cars, and similar, and sort of replaces my ageing
    Inglenook, Havatry.

Also, it's interesting, I recognise a number of user names, from other forums, already.

    Jeff

Thanks for the intro Jeff. Nice to see a wide range of interests. There are a few shed dwellers on here. Myself being one if them when I get my act together.

Nice to have you with us and look forward to seeing some photos if your work.

    Cheers for now

    Toto

this is if you've got the pictures on your computer

    a. select upload file (middle blue button) this will take you to ypur computer's picture gallery
    b. click on the picture you want... then press 'open' at bottom of page
    c. click on 'full image' button that will appear below

    i hope this is helpful

    Not sure how helpful yet!
The photos I have, were taken with my phone, these seem to be copied to my tablet (mostly),
but nothing on my Chromebook, as far as I can tell.
I'll confess now, I'm a bit of a luddite, with respect to technology, probably best if I have a word
with some of my more tech-savvy friends before I go any further on here!
After all, it'll be easier for them to walk me through the process, slowly, hands on as such, so I
can actually see what they're doing, and they'll be able to see what i'm doing wrong!
    Thanks anyway Ian

It is very easy. It must be because I can do it and I am as much tech savvy as a gibbon with amnesia.

I find it easier uploading to my laptop then bringing in the files from there. I will try and post up a clear enough set of instructions shortly. Once you get the k back, it's very easy. Easier than it is explained.

    Hi Jeff,

I have had a word with Dundee ( Paul_l ) who is going to try and give a few options of how photos can be uploaded from different media.

My self , as mention above, I have always uploaded my images up to my laptop and then pulled them in through the Gallery. I find this easiest.

Basically, once you have your image uploaded onto your computer hard drive, open up the gallery and hit add media. You get the option to open a new folder and name,e it ...... for example " gladiator SDJR 7mm 7F photos " as a reference then you si p,y click the add image button. You then pick the location in your computer device where you have it stored, open it, click on the file image and it appears in the media file. You can add up to 10 images in any one upload then you must save media file.

You can then go and add another 10 then another etc etc.

Save the media file at the bottom of the page. Then you open your new post and hit on the camera icon, your images you uploaded will show and you simply click on the image you want to upload.

Again, I am hoping Paul can explain this better than me. Maybe with a couple of screen shots to ensure that you recognise the various stages.

He'll hopefully be along soon to try and assist.

    Thanks for bearing with us.

    Toto

Well, I've just been there, clicked on Posting Pictures (Dec 27, 2015), and now I'm worse off
because my head hurts! It appears to be some useful information, interspersed with multiple
    lines of random gibberish!
