Found this video this morning and it may be helpful to some....

Although it is for clear acetate, such as windows, I'm sure it will apply to all types of surfaces and even painted surfaces where over spray has occurred.

    Cheers, Gary.

Would like to know if it would be any good to remove glue residue left from masking tape unless any body has a better option ??

    Hi Keith,

You could always try a small dab of WD-40 on a cotton tip to remove the residue. ;)

    Cheers, Gary.

    Thanks for the tip Gary.
Think I will let the paint harden a bit longer before I try as its only been on for just over two days.

Have you tried Goo Gone or similar dissolves the glue residue but harmless to the paint.

    Cheers Mike

I have seen a few youtube videos on this product and most of the people revert back to WD-40 or an isopropyl mix... Be warned though, isopropyl will dissolve paint....

    Cheers, Gary.

Not sure how it goes with paint, but I use WD40 to remove stubborn glue from retail barcode stickers.
The worst offender is Aluminium flat bar from Bunnings.......you could spend too much time trying to remove the stickers and glue manually and it would possibly scratch the bar, however I soak the stickers with WD 40 and wait and eventually remove the lot and have a clean piece of bar.
