Great looking model Ralph, nicely painted, going to look good on the outdoor section of your layout.
Interesting to see Peco using laser cut wood material to go with their normal plastic components.

Nice kit it is.:thumbs::thumbs: I was only looking at the same kit a few days ago, but have decided not to purchase it, but I will detail the L-Cut one I have.

    Cheers, Gary.

Smashing! Lovely wagons.. the dip after the junction makes for a nice authentic feature too.. it’s not all dead flat!

really? It looks so smooth? Most impressive. I take it it’s DCC and not RC?

no issues with the track Andy, just a couple of issues with the pony wheels derailing, I think it’s just a case of either more pressure on them or possible some added weight.

    cheers Gormo.
Yes one of my favourites as well. Ralph purchased one coach after we found some pictures of them running “top and tail” and we both agreed it would be good to run them on the layout. I still fancy the maroon BR version as well to go with a BR black 0-4-2T

My converted Ace models 9F got a good workout at Ralph’s yesterday. Started with 32 wagons, which it pulled with ease, then we tried it with 52 wagons......the curved incline proved to much for her, so we dropped off the 10 Heljan B tankers and had another go.

    So envious!

it looks so nice in the sunshine.

your guard needs to check his rule book though, he should have 3 lamps on the rear of the van. One on the outside of each rear end (showing white to the fore) and a central red for the mixed freight. He he...

what’s the signal box kit? Quite like the look of it!

Again, wow! And I’m no GWR fan.

    coaches are fantastic too!

is the layout still a work in progress? I note an absence of signals?

Ahhh well spotted Andy, we did that just to see if you would notice it :avatar:
“Rivet counters “ you have to luv um

signal box I believe is the Peco offering, I’ll double check with Ralph, but I seem to remember him saying it’s a mixed material model. Plastic upper parts as per the Peco platform signal box and a laser cut wooden lower section.
